When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted and one of our experienced Registered Veterinary Technicians will assess the condition of your pet to ensure that the most critical patients get attention first. This means that patients that arrive after you may be seen before you.
We thank you for your patience and understanding in this regard.
Then, one of our veterinarians will examine your pet, ask you further questions and then may recommend diagnostic tests if needed. Once the tests have been run, which can usually be done in the practice, your doctor will discuss a possible diagnosis and treatment plan if warranted.
This is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing.
There is at least one Veterinarian and Registered Veterinary Technician on the premises during our business hours, experienced in dealing with critical care cases, so you can rest assured that your pet is in good hands and will not be left unsupervised overnight. We are equipped for treating and monitoring critical cases, and are able to provide services often not available at a regular veterinary practice, like blood transfusions, oxygen therapy and after-hours surgery.
Our veterinary technician will likely come back to wrap things up and will provide you with helpful pet care information and answer wellness and care questions for you. Our front desk staff will process your payment and schedule any needed follow up. Your pet will be transferred back to your regular veterinarian the following business day to carry on with their care, and in most cases they will already know to expect you as we send complete medical records upon your pet’s discharge.
