Dr. Dragos Tudose, Veterinarian

Dr. Dragos Tudose was born and raised in Romania and has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1998.  After several years of orthopedic imaging and surgical experience he developed a passion for emergency and critical care medicine that provides a challenging and fast-paced environment in which he thrives. 

Dr. Erica Lutman, Veterinarian

Erica began her veterinary adventure working behind the scenes in a small animal veterinary clinic while attending high school, then went on to graduate from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph. She practiced in Lindsay, Ontario for 3.5 years before joining Huronia Veterinary Emergency Clinic in 2012.  She truly enjoys being a vet and always strives to do her best for the patient.  She believes strongly in preventive medicine and in working with owners to help their furry family members.

Dr. Allorina Rypalowski, Veterinarian

Being a veterinarian is Dr. Allorina’s passion, and she loves the challenge of emergency and critical care medicine.  She has worked in small animal and large animal practice, and even spent time volunteering in Tanzania with the Tanzania Animal Welfare Society and Heifer International.  
Dr. Allorina is known with clients for her compassion and eagerness to help their furry friends. 


Dr. Amy Jackson, Veterinarian

Dr. Amy Jackson graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1999. She spent 2 years in a mixed animal practice treating animals of all sizes and has since focused on small animal medicine o as well as emergency and critical care medicine at Huronia Veterinary Emergency Clinic. She particularly enjoys the challenges associated with emergency medicine and internal medicine cases, and the unique environment of the emergency facility, and is thrilled to work with the highly trained, compassionate team at HVEC. 


Hospital Manager

Tara Martel, Hospital Manager

Tara joined Huronia Veterinary Emergency Clinic in 2013 after 12 years of experience in a busy downtown Toronto practice.  She has a strong desire to ensure that every client has the best experience possible and believes that exceptional customer service is the cornerstone to a successful client relationship.   Her rescue dog Wilbur is her trusty assistant at the clinic every day.

Lead Technicians


Ron Bridges, RVT, Lead Technician

Clair Woodland, RVT, Lead Technician

Clair has been with our clinic since 2010 as a Lead Technician, having also worked with large animals in the past. In her spare time she can be found at her family farm training and riding horses. She currently has 30 horses, 8 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 hamsters!


Caytlynn Brush, RVT, Lead Technician

Caytlynn started working with Huronia Veterinary Emergency Clinic in 2011 while attending Georgian College for the Veterinary Technician program.  Upon completing school with honors, her role with HVEC grew from a co-op student to a full-time technician.  Emergency medicine has always been a passion of Caytlynn's, who loves the fast pace environment and the challenges that come with the unexpected.

Kris Burns, RVT

Kris' experience as an RVT has been diverse and continues to grow as her career develops. She has been an RVT for over 10 years, and her time working in emergency settings has been a highlight for the last 8 years. Her other main career highlight is her position teaching in the Veterinary Technician Program, and and working to develop the skills of future RVTs.  She thoroughly enjoys her position at HVEC, and always strives to provide the highest level of care to pets in her charge.

Kathy Hiltz, RVT

In 2002 Kathy did her co-op placement at Huronia Veterinary Emergency Clinic while finishing her Veterinary Technician Diploma.  She graduated from Seneca College and became a Registered Veterinary Technician later that year.  Kat loves the fast paced world of emergency medicine and finds it challenging and exciting.  Along with working at HVEC on weekends, Kat also works at a day practice in Orillia and teaches at Gerogian College in the Veterinary Technician and Veterinary Assistant programs.

Sarah Brooks, RVT

Sarah graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College in 1993 and has worked at Huronia Veterinary Emergency Clinic since 2009.  When not busy working, or caring for her parrot, rabbit, dog and cat, she volunteers at the Hospice and also for the Red Cross. She recently received her degree in Adult Education from Brock University.

Jaycee Elliott, Patient Care Co-ordinator

Jaycee joined Huronia Veterinary Emergency Clinic in 2001 after graduating from Georgian College’s Animal Care Worker program.  She is passionate about continuing her education in veterinary medicine and has since taken courses in canine behaviour, critical care, anaesthetic, pain management, customer service and grooming. She keeps herself busy with her 3 rescue dogs, 2 cats, 2 parrots, 2 aquariums and her horse, Lorenzo.
